Storms cause tree damage, power outages in Warren County, Iowa

WARREN COUNTY, Iowa-   Storms caused tree damages in parts of Warren County today (Thursday)  Brian Gongol of WHO shared this photo of tree damage in Cumming.  Some of these photos were also taken by Lee Rouse, in Norwalk and Indianola.

Indianola Police Captain Brian Sher tells WHO Radio News, the storms have caused heavy tree damage, there are numerous power lines down, and as a result, a long list of power outages.  City crews are working to clear intersections and put up temporary stop-signs, in locations where outages are impacting traffic lights.   He says he's not heard of any reports of injuries, but reminds residents to stay away from downed power lines.
