Two men face charges after 100 mph multi-county chase

BENTON COUNTY, Iowa -

Two men are facing charges after they reportedly led deputies on an over 100 mph chase through parts of Benton and Tama County.

Just before 3:45 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to call about a customer trying to use a fake ID to buy a vehicle at Van Horn Motor Company on Highway 30 near Newhall.

When deputies got to the business, 32 year old Ronnie Hill of Cedar Rapids ran from authorities and got into a vehicle driven by 29 year old Torrance Terrett of Chicago,

The two men lead authorities on a half-hour chase ending near Toledo in Tama County.

Terrett was arrested and charged with eluding and several driving offenses; Hill was charged with falsifying public documents, identity theft and interference with official acts.
