Much Needed Rain In Forecast

There is talk of much-needed rain in Nebraska and western Iowa, which would, of course, help with this Spring of dangerous wildfires.

The Omaha office of the National Weather Service says chances for showers and thunderstorms will enter the forecast by tonight, and last through at least Saturday night.

They say it will not be raining that whole time.

The highest chances are Friday night;

WOWT 6 News Senior Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord says storms are likely to develope to the southwest of the Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro around 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and move through our area through the night.
