Douglas County Prepares For Early Voting

The Douglas County Election Commission says early voting ballot applications for the 2022 Nebraska Statewide Gubernatorial General Election will be sent to voters in early August.

Recipients will be registered voters, who signed up to be included on the Douglas County Early Voting Request List.

The postcard-size mail pieces are printed on green card stock.

Voters must complete and sign the application portion of the mailing and return it to the Election Commission to receive a ballot by mail; ballots will not be automatically sent to voters who receive the postcard mailing or who requested a by-mail ballot for previous elections.

Applications may be returned via official ballot drop box, postal mail, email, or fax.

Voters who do not receive an early voting application postcard may request a by-mail ballot by submitting a request in writing, accompanied by their signature.

At the same time they request their ballot, voters may sign up to be included on the Early Voting Request List for future elections.

Details may be found on www.votedouglascounty.com or by calling (402) 444-VOTE (8683).

Ballot requests may not be accepted via telephone.
