Much needed rains came through eastern Nebraska into southwest Iowa overnight, including the Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro area, but the Omaha office of the National Weather Service says a Red Flag Warning and Fire Weather Watch are in effect for portions of the area this afternoon, while a Fire Weather Watch is in effect Thursday.
In addition, windy conditions are expected today with a Wind Advisory in effect across northeast Nebraska today.
