Arrest Made In Omaha Double Assault

Omaha Police make an arrest in connection with a shooting that happened around 8:30 a.m. on November 9th in downtown Omaha.

They say investigators have arrested 22-year old Ronniel Wells in connection with the shooting at 1705 Douglas Street.

Officers booked Wells into Douglas County Corrections for two counts of use of a gun to commit a felony, two counts of 2nd-degree assault, and one count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

Police say the shooting injured two teens.

Officers originally responded to 18th and Douglas Streets for a report of the shooting and found two males suffering from gunshot wounds.

Omaha Fire Paramedics took the victims to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers determined a male approached the victims and three other juveniles in the parking garage at 1705 Douglas Street.

Police say the suspect fired a number of rounds at the group and left the area.
