The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says on twitter one of their Deputies helped subdue a person who may have been suffering from a mental health episode.
It happened in downtown Omaha near 18th and St. Mary's when the Deputy saw a man in the street acting erratically and trying to get into passing vehicles.
After the Deputy drew his taser and firearm when the person approached the Deputy aggressively, the person dropped to his knees and was taken into emergency protective custody with the help of other officers who had arrived.
