(Des Moines, IA) -- Temperatures will be in the upper 80's and lower 90's through early next week, with Des Moines the hot spot on Saturday.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Andrew Ansorge says the forecast for Des Moines calls for a high of 95 degrees, which could break the record of 96 degrees set back in 1939.
He says temperatures around Iowa will be 10 to 15 degrees hotter than normal over the next several days .
