(Marshalltown, IA) -- Two people were rescued after being found inside a boiler container at an abandoned hospital in Marshalltown.
Police were called to the building, known as the Old Hospital, for a reported gas leak and found two victims inside the boiler. Both were initially unresponsive but still alive.
Emergency crews ventilated the space with fresh air, allowing both individuals to regain consciousness and be rescued.
They were transported to a local hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
