(Bettendorf, IA) -- Property taxes are going up in Bettendorf.
City Council is approving a budget that will see a home valued at $350,000 pay around $200 more in property taxes annually.
City leaders say the bulk of the increase will go towards building the new police station voters approved in November.
The city will also soon become responsible for the salaries of six firefighters that had been covered by federal dollars.
