(Iowa City, IA) -- Iowa's reputation for high-quality beer is growing.
Six breweries from across the state have won awards this month.
Three eastern Iowa brewers scored wins at the World Beer Cup in Philadelphia, while another three central and western Iowa brewers were honored at the Best of Craft Beer Awards in Oregon.

World Beer Cup medal winners:
- Lion Bridge Brewing Co., Cedar Rapids — Olde 17, gold medal in Classic Irish-Style Dry Stout
- Lion Bridge Brewing Co., Cedar Rapids — Compensation, bronze medal in English Mild or Bitter
- Field Day Brewing, North Liberty — Czech Amber, bronze medal in International Amber Lager
- Big Grove Brewery, Iowa City — Zero Eddy, silver medal in Hoppy Non-Alcohol Beer
Best of Craft Beer Award medal winners:
- Marto Brewing, Sioux City — American Girl, gold medal in Golden and Blonde Ale
- Marto Brewing, Sioux City — Fear of the Dark, silver medal in Cascadian Dark Ale
- Flix Brewhouse, Des Moines — Nebulas, silver medal in Hazy and Juicy Pale Ale
- Full Fledged Brewing, Council Bluffs — Floyd the Barbarian, bronze medal in Hop Forward Session Beers
- Full Fledged Brewing, Council Bluffs — Common Corn Star, bronze medal in Rare and Historical Beers
