(Des Moines, IA) -- Book lovers in Des Moines will have a lot to explore tomorrow at a free event.
The 2026 DSM Book Festival will feature something for book lovers of all ages. The event will feature author programs, workshops, panels, activities for children, and meet-and-greets with authors in attendance, where people can get their books signed.
Jan Danielson Kaiser with Beaverdale Books, says, "We've got a total of 30 different panels, and all kinds of authors, every kind of subject imaginable. The two gymnasiums at Franklin Events Center are going to be full of booths with authors, publishers, and non-profits."
Authors who will be featured at the 2026 DSM Book Fest include:

- Art Cullen
- Julie Murphy
- Taylor Wolfe
Filmmaker Beth M. Howard will also be featured prior to a showing of the documentary "Pieowa: A Piece of America." The 2026 DSM Book Festival begins at 11am on Saturday, May 2nd, at the Franklin Events Center located at 4801 Franklin Avenue in Des Moines.
