(Des Moines, IA) -- Several downtown Des Moines streets are being closed this week near Western Gateway Park in advance of the Asian Alliance CelebrAsian Festival.
The closures will be done in stages, with 12th Street from Grand Avenue to Walnut Street closing to traffic Tuesday.
Additional closures include Locust Street from 13th to 10th Street and 13th Street from Grand to Locust Wednesday.
The final street closure will take place Thursday along Grand Avenue from 12th to 14th Street.
The closures will be in effect until 5 pm on Sunday.
