Ankeny Police are releasing more details about the investigation into the crash that injured 16 children at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic School.
Police say a 76-year-old accidentally pressed the gas instead of the brake while approaching the school pickup line.
Lab results didn't support OWI charges, and the Polk County Attorney's Office determined there was no legal basis for criminal charges.
All children injured in the crash were treated and released from the hospital.
