Central Iowa Woman Charged With Neglecting Horses

(Polk County, IA) -- A Central Iowa woman has been charged in connection with an animal neglect case involving 22 horses.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says 48-year old Angela Voyna faces two counts of Animal Neglect Causing Injury or Death.

The horses were in poor health when they were removed by the Animal Rescue League.

All of the animals are receiving treatment at the ARL’s Second Chance Ranch.

An investigation continues.
