Walmart could soon be coming to Waukee.

The city's Planning and Zoning Commission approved the site plan for a more than 182,000 square foot Supercenter on Tuesday night.

Plans also call for the store to have a Pharmacy and Automotive Center, along with gas pumps and a convenience store.

The proposed Walmart would be built on currently undeveloped land at 1165 E. Hickman Road E. Hickman Road, east of Hy-Vee.

The project now heads to the city council for its approval.
