UPDATE: A 27-year-old North Liberty man was killed in a high-speed car crash in Iowa City. The Iowa State Patrol says Timothy Charles Nelson Junior was speeding northbound on Dubuque Street near I-80, shortly after 1 p.m. Monday afternoon when he hit a traffic pole. The car, a 2009 Chevy Impala, rolled, Nelson was ejected. The car caught fire when it came to rest. Nelson was dead at the scene.

IOWA CITY, IOWA - The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is at the scene of a car crash in Iowa City, and is advising the public to avoid Dubuque Street between I-80 and Linder Road.
The road is closed due to a crash at Dubuque Street and Linder Road, just north of I-80.
