UPDATE: Des Moines Police have released the name of a man, found dead Sunday afternoon. The body of 61-year-old Thomas Francis Hoye III was found under the SW 9th Street Bridge, near the riverfront. No additional details about Hoye's death are being released at this time.

DES MOINES, IOWA - A body was found along the riverbank in Des Moines Sunday.
Police say a person walking just after noon called to report seeing the body below the southwest 9th Street bridge, just south of downtown Des Moines.
Investigators say it appears to be an adult male and was likely there for a considerable length of time. Police say there were no signs of trauma or injury.
The name is being withheld while police investigate further.
