An Iowa elementary school is swapping out it's usual Halloween day when kids can come in dressed up in their costumes, for a Fall-themed day.

"The district has replaced Halloween with fall-themed parties," said Humboldt Community School District's superintendent Jim Murray in a statement to KCCI. "All decisions we make are in the best interests of students while considering instructional time, attendance, families having the financial means to participate, and being inclusive to those from all backgrounds."

One parent at Taft Elementary, said they only found out about the decision via a newsletter which explained there were some kids who for religious reasons, don't celebrate Halloween.

"It's really unfortunate for the school to allow a few parents with religious rules to dictate what kids are going to do for having fun," Jeff Huffman, a parent with kids at the school, said.

What do you think? Do you agree with this Iowa elementary school swapping Halloween for Fall?
