Are you shocked by the blatant antisemitism on display in America?

In Iowa, student democrats are now apparently openly anti-Semitic. Yesterday the University of Iowa Democrats issued a pro Palestinian statement which included the openly antisemitic "from the River to the Sea" line which calls for the complete destruction of the State of Israel and the Jews who live there.

The State party was swift with it's condemnation, calling for any of the students who signed it, to resign their offices within the Party.

“The Iowa Democratic Party was recently made aware of a statement made by University Democrats at Iowa, which included problematic antisemitic slogans including ‘from the river to the sea Palestine will be free.’ Let's be very clear. That is a call for Jewish genocide and we wholly condemn that offensive language,” Chair Rita Hart said in the statement. “The Iowa Democratic Party stands with the innocent civilians, Israeli and Palestinian, that have had their lives ruined by the terrorist group Hamas. The Iowa Democratic Party has requested the resignations of the student representatives who signed the letter.”

Solid response which I applaud, but then the Democratic Party students at Iowa State stepped up. They formally disassociated themselves with the State Party and added “We believe in the importance of unity and solidarity among college Democratic clubs across the state, and the recent events involving the University of Iowa Democrats have deeply troubled us. Furthermore, we question the need for the (Iowa Democratic Party) to exert control over our club.”

All over the country, Jewish students have been threatened and clearly been made to feel unsafe as blatant anti-semitism has reared it's head.
