BREAKING: No stage, wheel or track events at the Great Jones County Fair

Officials with the Great Jones County Fair announcing today that they are attempting to move all entertainment scheduled for this year's fair to the 2021 event. Here's what GM John Harms had to say when contacted by The Big Show:

Blame the “Bug”!!!

The pandemic and our interests in keeping everyone safe and healthy have forced the decision to modify the 2020 Great Jones County Fair in Monticello, IA scheduled for July 22-26. It is still our opinion that organizations who can plan and execute during difficult times will be in the best position for success in the future. Since the live performances of entertainment throughout the country are currently put on “hold” our stages will be empty, as well as all wheel and track events scheduled. We are making efforts to negotiate the terms with our entertainers and grandstand events for July 21-25, 2021. We will make those announcements at a later date, and address our current ticket holders with their opportunities. Our immediate focus will be with our youth, and to provide a safe and healthy experience for them this summer as they showcase their hard work and projects. That exhibition will be accomplished by keeping within the CDC and IDPH guidelines, as we all address the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Keep the Faith and stay safe!

Of course, we'll keep you updated as to the specifics of those livestock shows, virtual or otherwise, when they become available.
